We have new merch!
This new series of Lakehouse Recording Studios branded apparel includes a hooded sweatshirt, two different t-shirt designs, and a tote bag.
The first t-shirt design sports an updated version of our original Lakehouse Recording Studios t-shirt design, which is based off of a russian-made Electro-Harmonix Big Muff. Notable users of the Big Muff through the years include: David Gilmour, Billy Corgan, and Jack White.
The second t-shirt design is similarly based on a fuzz pedal design, albeit one of totally different topology. The Univox Superfuzz was designed in Japan in the late 1960s and has found its way into the hands of many great guitarists through the years. Pete Townshend, Josh Homme, and J Mascis have all been known to use the pedal at some point in their careers. This shirt comes in two different colorways: the original vibrant red and blue of the original unit on a darker blue shirt and a monochrome version on a black shirt.
Our new tote bag features an iconographic interpretation of a Mellotron. The Mellotron is a tape loop based keyboard instrument that was invented in the 1960s and quickly found use with bands such as The Beatles, King Crimson, and Yes. For more information about the Mellotron and its cousin the Novatron, check out our other blog post here.
